The first forests evolved about 380 million years ago, followed by seeds and cone bearing plants 350 million years ago, 150 million years ago came the first flowering plants, but the Grasses we rely on for food only arrived 60 million years ago . Why ?
Was it because the forests had to clean the air, the flowering plants multiply before we came along 5 to 7 million years ago, preparing the world for its evolving inhabitants. Lets start putting something back, plants gave us a world, lets give them a world for all our benefit.
The fundamental role that plants currently play and have always played in underpinning life on earth is they : Regulate the air we breathe, provide the food we eat, the clothes we wear, provide medicines and perfumes and timber and fuel.
