As with all gardens I have always felt they belong to plants, trees and the wildlife that relies on them for survival just as we do.
But plants can also be used to soften areas as well, walls can be enhanced, patio corners can be softened, shape and texture in the garden combined with colour suddenly opens up a whole new area, so rather than remove the hard sections of your garden you already have lets work with them.
When we use plants we are using them for different reasons. Colour to reflect our style and personality, shape to cast architecture into our space, flow so that one section leads to another, bringing the garden and you together.
The fundamental role that plants currently play and have always played in underpinning life on earth is they : Regulate the air we breathe, provide the food we eat, the clothes we wear, provide medicines and perfumes and timber and fuel.
