The right plants

This border was positioned on the right side of the garden, on a slope just below some hard standing paving. This meant that when it rained the border became very wet, but it was also in a hot spot of the garden which received a lot of sun through the day. The plants had to be able to tolerate both heat from above for a prolonged period through the day and excessive water at times on the roots. hard area to work but the choice of plants made all the difference.
